These angel totems are made by hand in stoneware clay, fired twice and washed with copper oxide before being glazed in a white velum that is then hand-painted on.
The sign carved on her chest is often known as the Helm of Awe and is used as a protection sigil. This piece was made with the intention to ward off the negative energies and manifest protection. The horns and pointed ears are there to remind us that guardians come in many different forms and to never judge a book by its cover. On her back between her wings is an eye, again to ward off any ill wishes from coming the household’s way.
