Most of our pieces express an animalistic element and in this case it’s her horns and ears, based on the goat, a creature often given bad press for being evil when they were originally associated with guidance, abundance and protection in animist cultures, and it is undoubtedly in this spirit that she is expressed. On her back between her wings is an eye, again to ward off any ill wishes from coming the household’s way.
