Conker Dryad Baby

This Conker Dryad Baby represents the potential life-force of the horse chestnut tree and the seeds that falls from them. It was inspired by a tree our children planted, which is still fairly young, a byproduct of them planting conkers in our flower pots when they were little; they liked to collect them from a tree that we knew to have been around since Elizabethan times.  No one showed them to do it, it was just instinctual, as was their instinct to leave the small tree nests full of found natural things like berries, stones, and seeds, all of which, we were assured, had magical properties.

Conker baby sleeps in fetus position and can fit comfortably into the palm of your hand. He is designed to curl up inside his own conker shell, a tiny dryad in the making.  He looks like the object of a fairy tail yet to be told, and is a piece that people like to handle.
