Full Moon Shrine

This Full moon shrine can be hung on a wall if wished, but also stands freehand.  This is very much a winter moon, with a dark blue sky back ground, and winter leafless trees.  When deciding on his face we were assured that the man in the moon looks most like Sir John Guilgud, so he is, albeit loosely, based on him in his later years.  

This small shrine is an English pagan folk art version of the glorious Mexican nicho's that can be found for devotional purposes throughout Mexico.  Though our work is not at all Mexican in aesthetic, we undoubtedly have a fondness for its sentiment, and channel a similar energy to it's folk artists.
