Mostly Happy Sun Plaque

This is a sun for those living in a less than warm environment for most of the year, she isn't flamboyantly happy, like her counterparts that reside closer to the equator, just quietly optimistic that she gets a peak from behind the clouds today, after all she was born from the land of Lancashire, a land of rain and drizzle, and the proud owner of the soggiest English city, Lancaster. 

She has an inexplicably vintage, perhaps 50's vibe, and a cosy feel.  She's a one of a kind, not created from a mould, you certainly won't find her on the high street.

Her face is not not glass glazed other than her eyes and lips; its a technique we've adopted as it give a more life like feel to our creations.  This makes her face stand out, behind the sun is a glass like cobalt blue glaze. She is a really striking piece.
