This boldly coloured Nuummie was inspired by a postcard we have by Yayoi Kusama of sperm like forms, in our studio. That in turn led into a thought process of chain reactions; thinking about life on earth and how we (mammals) are created and how weird the process of becoming something animated is... if you catch our drift?
Her stomach symbolises the moment of creation and the back the atoms splitting and forming in a way that also symbolises the big bang. Honestly, that is exactly what was going through our mind, we hope that doesn't put you off her.
