A totem is a sacred/magical object and for many of us there is a certain animal that we are inexplicably drawn to. This owl totem is made by hand in stoneware clay, carved with protection sigils that have been inspired by an obsession with Slavic and Icelandic traditional magical protection designs. It has been fired twice and coated in a couple of Japanese shino glazes to highlight its features.
