Sgraffito Decanter / Altar Ware Blue and White

This piece is yet another of our dalliances into of our folklore and pottery traditions. This Blue and white decanter with an acorn lid is inscribed with a charm

"Be still and imbue the elixir within, 

May it warm your cockles and let magic begin,

May the Oak King view kindly the will of your ways,

and may merriment reign strong all of your days."

It has been carved with an oak leaf motif and two green men and been created to give the feel of an imagined vintage decanter of a folk art style.
