The Wild God

Pan, Jack in the Green, Green Man, Herne, The Wild God, The Spirit of the Forest and no doubt more that haven't yet to come to mind.  He has so many names with interlinked interpretations of the importance of revering nature and the wild. 

To me he is a representation of animal masculinity, a force of nature in touch with his true aspect, his environment and his purpose and place within it.  He is untamed by domesticity and modernity. He is timeless, and necessary and I can see his reemergence and spirit growing in strength and pace, but we need that spirit returned to us sooner, the earth needs him, and we need the earth.  He is the symbol of what we've so nearly lost to civility, and without him we lose our sense of place and purpose in the world.     

He is made and fired to stoneware temperatures. If you put him outside, please bring him in in the winter, frost will work its way into any ceramic and cause damage what ever the design of any ceramic piece.

Please note: because of technical reasons, colours might appear different on your screen. Please also note that our items are hand made and are not "perfect" in every sense. They will bear the marks of the handmade pottery creation process that is missing from mass produced items.
